Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY-U) Mission under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) is inviting registrations to conduct relevant workshops and seminars from July 01 to September 30, 2021.
Awas Par Samvaad aims to encourage educational institutions, primary lending institutions (PLIs) and housing finance companies (HFCs) to conduct well-organised sessions in association with the respective state governments. It seeks to conduct at least 75 sessions to create awareness, stimulate discussion and disseminate learnings and knowledge on 'Housing in Urban Spaces' through interdisciplinary streams of engineering, community development, urban planning and finance. The target audience are multiple stakeholders such as: urban practitioners, students in related disciplines, faculties, civil society organisations (CSO), real estate sector, community leaders, government officials of other urban missions, etc.
The seminars/workshops can be conducted offline in a classroom model with a compulsory webcast including four sessions of 30-40 mins each. If it is conducted online, a session of one hour should be conducted. The sessions shall also showcase PMAY-U videos and life transformation stories of the beneficiary households.
MoHUA has provisioned a compensatory reimbursement for each seminar/workshop conducted by the institutions. After registration, the participants shall submit a proposal which shall include the details of the theme of discussion, objectives of the workshop, names of panelists and participants and the nodal officer assigned for the session. The state governments shall take the final decision regarding approval of proposals.
