Archana Ashokan

Archana is passionate about locating and comprehending the underlying reasons behind the housing sector’s challenges so that she can work towards finding solutions. At IHF she sees an opportunity to make a positive impact on society and to further expand her knowledge of the sector.

She wrote her B.Arch thesis on re-imagining housing quarters of non-gazetted officers in Calicut such that they enable sustainable and self-sufficient living. Her M.Plan thesis was focused on flood resilient planning through integration of blue-green-grey infrastructure within Kochi Municipal Corporation in Kerala.

Archana holds a B.Arch. degree from Avani Institute of Design, Calicut (2015-2020) and a M.Plan. degree in Urban Planning from NIT Calicut (2020-2022). She has also interned in a research firm where she studied water-related issues in Kutch, Gujarat. Her other interests lie in exploring different cities and cultures. She loves to travel, sketch and read in her free time.
